Quick Note

For those of you that have my blog in your google reader, you may see some older posts come up. I am trying to take the ones I want from my married blog to this blog. So please ignore them. There are some that I will need to refer back to or I just liked. So just a quick update for you.

This weekend

So this past weekend was another busy weekend. It has been a rush trying to get things done before I leave the state. Plus I am trying to get packed of what I want to take with me. My room at Jonathan's place is not very big so I am really having to whittle things down. Thursday night I went to my hairdresser one last time and had her highlight my hair since it totally needed it. I trust my hairdresser to do whatever she thinks looks good on me so she ended up putting carmel and red highlights in it. I took some pics of it you can see the carmel it is hard to see the red though.

Then Friday I went to the races. I love going to the races, it was something over the years that turned into father/daughter date night. This is how I met my ex-husband and got to know him. This place holds a special place for me. I am going to miss not finishing up the season out there. Then Saturday I had a church event to go to and later that my night my high school had a reunion. I went to a school that had pre-school to 12th grade. I had a graduating class of 9!!! Last year was the first one that they had and we had a huge crowd!! This was a much smaller crowd. I still had fun though. I got to see old friends & teachers I haven't seen in a while. I was really excited because I got see my friend Jonathan. He was one of my closest friends in high school and through the years him, my brother, Mary Beth and I became more like a family. We did a lot together, movie nights, bowling, Six Flags, etc. Jonathan is in New York so I hardly get to see him. I was so glad he was home!! Here are some pics from the night.

Great Giveway

I found this blog by looking at other peoples' blogs and I stumbled on to the Monogram Chick's blog. She is so talented. She makes the cutest things and if I had more money I would be shopping all the time on her site. She is having a giveway that ends Aug 2nd and you can either choose from a travel mug or a tote bag. I am choosing the tote bag in fuschia. Click here to go to her blog to enter yourself in her giveaway and if you do refer that I sent you there. The nice thing about this one is that if you win, I win for referring you!!

New Blog

So after some thoughts today and some other things, I have decided that I AM going to be started another blog. I am working on transferring blogs from the one that I had with my married life to here. I am still going to keep this blog about things in general, funny things, song of the day, etc. The things that are a bit more personal I am going to be putting in this new blog. I don't mind sharing things with the world but I don't want someone trying to use things against me at all. This new blog is going to be private and will be invitation only. If you would like to follow, please email, message me on facebook, leave me a comment with your email and once I get it up and running this weekend I will send you an invite.

Song of the day

So I am in just such a great mood today I wanted an upbeat cute song. So today is by one of my favorite artist ever!! Today's is Taylor Swift, You Belong With Me. I love the video how she is the nerdy girl and then plays the snobby girlfriend. So I hope you all enjoy it!

Cute video

So one of my friends on facebook, the lovely Cassie, posted this video. It is a couples' entrance before the start of their wedding. It is such a cute video that I had to post it on my blog. So I hope you enjoy it!

The decision is......

So many of you know that I posted about a change, I was debating or not to do. This was something I had been praying about to make sure that this was the right decision that I needed to make. Thanks for all the comments about this, I really appreciate it. I had still been torn about this decision till Friday night. Friday night I went to the races first time in a couple of weeks. Partly because I really wanted to go and also because I got to pray before the start of the race. While I was sitting there watching the races, something inside of was saying this is not where you need to be. You need to move so you can heal. It has been a hard process trying to heal after this divorce. I really loved this man and it is hard going to places or seeing him after all of this. There are times when I think my heart is fully healed and then something happens my heart starts hurting again!!

I am really excited to move down there. I was born in Texas and have always wanted to move back down there later one in life. Luckily, I have a couple friends down there already and then some family members down in that area as well. So I won't be completely alone besides my brother. At the same time I am really nervous about this. I am going down there without a job, find new doctors, a new church, etc. I am really excited for this fresh start!! To all my friends, I really want to see you before I go!! I think the plan is that we leave the middle of that first week of August. I can't believe this is happening!

Busch Race - Gateway International

So yesterday was the Busch race at out Gateway International Raceway. It is something I always go to every year and help out my dad's raceway ministry program. It is always something I love doing plus the best things about is riding around in a golf cart and then being in the media center cause easy to stay warm or stay cool depending on the weather. Here are some of pics from the day,

The fan midway early in the morning.

One of the cars getting ready for qualifying.

They had a bald eagle for the opening ceremonies, this bird was gorgeous.

A close up of his head.

Justin Allgaier, he is a local boy.

Carl Edwards one the hottest guys in NASCAR.

Dad during the prayer with the bald eagle.
Then here is the video of the girl singing the national anthem, before it starts you can see my dad.

Then if you click this link it shows the Kyle Busch in Victory lane, if you look close enough at the start of the video you can see 2 white hats and a pink hat, that was my dad, one of the guys on his team and me (I am the pink hat). It was a great race and I love going to these.

Moving???

So I can't hold it in anymore. I have been bursting at the seems to tell my friends and you the readers why I am still asking for thoughts and prayers. I can't remember if I put in my last post but I have since moved out of my place. I have everything out as of Monday. It was sad knowing that was the last time I would be there but I know I needed to get out of there. Well last Wednesday I was asking my brother what things he wanted of mine since he just bought a new house and some of my stuff would be in storage for awhile. Well he goes why don't you come down and live with me?? He is still looking for another roommate and we had talked about me moving down to Texas earlier in the year after Mike had left. Well nothing more on that had panned out but now that he has his own house it is something I am seriously considering doing. There are so many pros and cons to both things. On the pro side, I love Texas I was born there and when I visit my brother I love being down there. Also I can get closer to my brother and plus too it is a fresh start for me. I am trying to heal from my divorce but at times it is hard because somethings just remind me of him. On the con to move trying to find a job, getting used to a new place, my parents and other family is not there, all of my doctors, hairdresser, etc are here, and leaving my friends. This is something I have been praying about because I want to make the right decision on this. So hopefully I will be able to figure out what I am supposed to do and do it. As soon as I do, trust me I will let all of you know.

Song Of The Day

On my way home tonight I had a a mixed cd in the car, and this song came on. I love this group, I even got to see them live in concert for free. A couple years ago they played at Fair St Louis and they are amazing to watch in concert!! Today's song is Black Eyed Peas, "Hey Mama". I really needed to hear an upbeat song. I have been dragging all week and this song just makes me want to get up and dance.

What's going on??

So what's beeen going on with little old me. I know I have posted much but like I said my computer power cord decided it did not want to cooperate with my laptop so with no charge can't use a computer. So for now I am using my mom's computer for the time being. This week I moved out of my house. It was kinda of bittersweet for me. I lived in that house for 3 years, it was my first place, I bought that on my own, and there are just so many memories attached to that home. It was weird moving out of there but it is for the best.

Also, I am not going to go into anymore discussion about it right now but I really could just some thoughts and prayers right now. There are some things going on that I am trying to figure out. I promise I will let you know what is going on after a while. It is just so hard right now and I need to make sure I am doing what is right not what I want to do.

Annie Update

So on the 27th of June, my family and some friend went to The Muny to see the production of Annie. There are some people from my dad's church that are like grandparents to me. Their granddaughter was an orphan in the play so we had a big group that went. My family and some other friends went early before the play and had a big picnic dinner. It turned out great. We had smoked chicken, tortellini salad, bread, chips, veggies and dip, fruit salad with dip. I was so full by the time we were done. The show was amazing. The actors did such a great job. The only thing that I didn't like and I guess I am so used to the movie version but you hardly got to see the dog. I hate seeing the movie first because you are used to seeing things and then the musical some things are different. other than it being hot we had such a great evening.

Been awhile

I know it has been awhile since I have last updated but things have been extremely busy for me. More posts coming to update on my readers on things.
