Happy Fathers Day!

I just wanted to wish first off Happy Fathers Day to all of the Fathers out there! I hope you had a great day with your family and enjoyed your day. And secondly I want to wish a Happy Father's Day to my father. The past 26 years I have a great father that has loved me unconditionally, supported me with everything that I have done, been someone to go out with, talk about things with, and just been there for me. So Happy Fathers Day Dad!! I love you so very much and glad that I have you as my father.

Some Comedy

So I am posting some of my favorite comedy acts, scenes, etc. It has been a week where I need some good laughs and I thought I would share my favs.

First comes from Hollywood Squares where this game kept going and going. Penn and Teller started yelling "You Fool!" and then it goes from there.

Ok my next one comes from Whose Line is It Anyways? And this one is Living Props with Richard Simmons. It is a hoot, just watch and see.

The next one is another one from Whose Line. This one is a hoedown and it always cracks me up.

Sorry I love Whose Line and this is another clip from whose Line where it is News Anchors and making fun of Colin.

So there's some comedy for awhile. I think I will try and make a weekly or monthly post of some comedy for you all to enjoy!

Six Flags

So Tuesday I went with to Six Flags with our church youth. I haven't been to Six Flags in forever. Last time I went was with after my first year of college with my brother, our two friends from high school, mom and grandma. That was the year my mom almost got killed. Seriously! Long story short, my mom got stuck in between the car and the track on Mr. Freeze, they were going to send the ride off with her still stuck. She ended up getting second degree burns and the best they could do for us was give free passes to come back another time before the season ended. And we went at the end of August. It was crap and I really think my mom should have sued them!!

But anyways I was a little nervous for Tuesday because of the fact that it was looking like it was going to rain all day. And that there was a little window that it would be clear skies. So Tuesday heading to church to meet everyone it was already starting to rain but it was looking like that we were supposed to get a storm and then it would be done till later on that night. I was pleasantly surprised we had 15 people that went. Luckily while we driving to Six Flags we ran into the storm that was coming so by the time we got to the park it was just finishing up raining. The best thing on the day that we went it was hardly crowded. Alot of the time with rides we either had to wait a few minutes or we got to go again without having to get off of the ride. The last ride that was new when we went there was Excalibur so I got to try the new Evil Knievel, which I loved; Superman, I liked it cause you got an amazing view of the whole park but really like Disney World's Tower of Terror better; Tony Hawk, didn't like that ride it was a little boring; on the water rides The Tornado, loved that ride except I rode with two younger kids adn I thought we were going to tip over at one point, and then Wahoo Racer, that one is not for heavier people and I am not going to comment anymore on that one!! Some of the rides weren't open or they opened late in the day like Tidal Wave and Excalibur. I had such a good time getting to know people from our church and just enjoyed almost having the park all to ourselves. By the end of the day our youth were more tired than the chaperones. The adults were still ready to go but the youth wanted to leave so we left around 8 pm. I came home sore, barely walking and sunburnt. All in all it was a a great day and cant wait till our next activity!

The Races

Last night I went to the races for the first time since opening night, which was the first Friday in April. As most of you all know that's where I met the ex husband, where our relationship grew, and it was our thing. When I went opening night it was really hard since we spent time together there and I loved cheering him on. So after opening night I hadn't felt like going much. At times it was too hard to see him and then when I found out he was dating someone else, I was not ready to see him and his new girlfriend together. I had been planning to go anyways since I had thought my dad wasn't going to make it. I was so glad I went last night because I ended up having a great night. I got there early last night, I had some mail and some other little things I found for my ex. I was tired of keeping it and I didn't feel like mailing it back to him. Luckily, when I went by his trailer he wasn't there. It is still hard to see him and not easy when I didn't hardly see him when he left. When I was heading back to the grand stands he was coming out as I was going in. We looked at each other and just walked on by. I was glad that he just kept walking, I really didn't feel like talking to him. I went and talked to some older gentlemen that sat in front of us in the stands. I haven't seen much of them and just wanted to catch up. Then as I was heading back to the pits for the start of hot laps, I saw his mom and dad pull up. I told his dad there was somethings at the trailer for him and since his mom waved at me I went and talked to her for a couple minutes. It was really good to talk to his mom. Last time I saw her I didn't talk much to her since it was a couple months after he left and I was still hurting. And I was glad that there are no weird feelings at all. So all in all it was a good night, glad that I can go back and not worry about crying or being heartbroken while sitting there. Next time I just wish some of my friends would come with me.

Shopping Trip

Yesterday I got to go on a little shopping trip for some shirts!! Since I have gained some weight in the last year and then have started to loss that weight I am in between sizes. With that I don't have a lot of shirts to wear and half the time wear the sames shirts over and over. So yesterday afternoon I got to go shopping with my mom. We ended up going to our local mall and first started at Macy's. I found alot of cute clothes but ended up getting three short sleeve shirts. They are the same style but I got them in red, blue and black with white polka dots. Then we went to Lane Bryant and I saw some cute things but nothing that I really wanted to try on or wanted to get. Unfortunately at our mall there are not of stores geared for woman with some curves, and I am not a big fan of JcPenny's or Dillards so I was getting kind of frustrated. Mom and I stumbled on this store C J Banks , which has become my new favorite store!! I ended up getting some really cute clothes.
I got these two tops.

I got a black shirt that has at the bottom 3 layers of ruffles which looks really cute but I cant find a picture of. Then I got a pair of capris that has the tummy shaper in, which I need to help hide my tum tum till I lose it!

I am not a big fan of skorts but I got this one. It is the most comfortable thing ever and the best part its not like other ones where in the bag it shows that it is a shorts, it looks like a skirt all the way around.

Then I got a really comfortable and cute jersey dress, which I really need a good dress for church. I think my parents and my pastor are tired of seeming in the same couple of outfits!

Then my favorite thing I got was this dress. I am calling this my date dress!! When I finally start going out on some new dates, I plan on wearing this dress but until then it will be a church dress. It looks so cute on and I may have to post some pics of me in it!

Then to end such a great day, my parents, Grandma and I went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse to celebrate my birthday late. I love their steaks and really love their rolls with their cinnamon butter. I think I could fill up on that alone. Since it was my "birthday" I had to get up on a saddle and wave my napkin around (no I did not get any pictures and if I did they would not be published). We went back to mom and dads, Grandma, Mom and I watched Beauty Shop then followed by Oklahoma. I had to leave since it was getting late but it was such a good evening. I love spending time with my family, its always a good time. And during these times I need days and nights like this.

About Me

So since I am switching blogs I thought I would give a quick intro as a reminder and then as introduction for any new readers I may get.

I am Heather and 26 years old. In November my ex husband left and could not handle the stress that I was going through. Then in March he filed for the divorce and at the end of April the divorce was finalized. Now I learning how to be single again, have been out of it for the last 3 years. It has been hard at times but in a way it has been such a blessing, will explain in later posts. Right now just working and having fun while leaning on my friends and family. More posts to come!!

Any one know though how to take other posts from another blog and move them to here?? I need some so I can link old blogs to new blogs.
