Bloggging hiatus

So I am going to be on a blogging hiatus for a couple of days. My laptop is old in the first place, it was my brother's in the first place. The battery doesn't hold a charge and I really need to get a new one. Well now the power cord is not reading with the computer so until I can get a new one or mine fixed I will be not able to blog, check others blogs, etc. Hopefully it will be soon because I have a lot I want to post.

Quick Update

Just a quick update, will post more tomorrow. The Muny was great I loved seeing Annie!! Will go into more detail tomorrow with pics. Then I have been thinking about doing another blog that would be set to private most likely. There are a lot of things about the divorce I want to talk about but don't want everybody in the world reading it. What do you think??

Annie

So in less than 6 hours I will be at the Muny seeing Annie!! I am really excited, I haven't been to the Muny in a while. This performance is special because my "adopted" grandparents' granddaughter is one of the orphans. I am excited to see her. She is such a talented girl. It is also going to be fun because my parents, Grandma Shirley, people from our church and then my friend Jason is going. I am glad Jason is going with me. He and I used to date while we were in high school. Things didn't work out but he is one of the few boyfriends I have remained really good friends with. I will have a blog tomorrow, hopefully with pics, about the show.

Song of the Day

Since I missed yesterday I am going to have to songs of the day. The first is It's A Hard Knock Life from Annie. I am going to the Muny tomorrow with a great group of people and I have been singing this song today. I know this is the movie version but I really like this version.

Then the other song is Jay-Z's version of Hard Knock Life. I thought having the two different versions would be fun.

Song of the Day

So I can't believe that I have been posting a blog almost every day. I have really enjoying music this week. Today's edition I am going back to an artist that I used to listen to when I was younger. I remember my mom had this artist's tape in the car and we used to listen to it all of the time. Today's song is Passionate Kisses by Mary Chapin Carpenter.

I love hearing this song. I am reminding driving with my mom and brother singing along to this tape. It is something that when I met someone again that I can't wait to have that kiss thats full of passion and love.

Song of the Day

Ok so here's Tuesdays song of the day. This week I think it's going to be all about a different song. I have just been enjoying listening to music this week. Today's song is Kelli Pickler's Best Days of Your Life.

This song has a lot of meaning since the divorce. Most of you know that after the divorce my ex has started dating someone rather quickly. I understand things change but don't understand how you can move on so quick with someone. This song explains how I feel about this. I gave him the best of me and I hope you remember that.
Lyrics:
'Cause I'll be there in the back of your mind
From the day we met till you were making me cry
And it's just too bad you're already had the best days
The best days of your life

Ain't it a shame
A shame that every time you hear my name
Brought up in a casual conversation
You can't think straight?

And ain't it sad
You can forget about what we had
Take a look at her and do you like what you see
Or do you wish it was me?

I'll be there in the back of your mind
From the day we met to the very last night
And it's just too bad you've already had the best days
The best days of your life

And does she know
Know about the times you used to hold me
Wrapped me in your arms and how you told me
I'd be the only one?

I heard about
Yeah, someone told me once when you were out
She went a little crazy, ran her mouth about me
Ain't jealousy funny?

'Cause I'll be there in the back of your mind
From the day we met to the very last night
And it's just too bad you've already had the best days
The best days of your

Life with me was a fairytale love
I was head over heals till you threw away us
And it's just too bad you've already had the best days
The best days of your life

I heard you're gonna get married, have a nice little family
Live out my dreams with someone new
But I've been told that a cheater is always a cheater
So I've got my pride and she's got you

'Cause I'll be there in the back of your mind
From the day we met till you were making me cry
And it's just too bad you've already had the best days
The best days of your life

Of your life, oh, oh yeah
You're gonna think of me
You're gonna think of me in your life
Oh, oh yeah

It's a shame, it's a shame
it's a shame, it's a shame, it's a shame, it's a shame

Song of the Day

I really like when other people put on there blog a song of the day or the week. Today I really have to post the song that I have been enjoying and it has been stuck in my head since last Tuesday night. Most of you know that I am a pastor's daughter. I have grown up in church for all of my life. When we first moved up here, my dad was like an associate pastor at one church, then he pastored his own church for awhile, after he left there we got involved in two different churches and then now my dad is pastor at another church. So church and religion has played a huge role in my life growing up and today. Growing up most of the music I listened to was either oldies, kids radio or Christian music. My music choices that I enjoyed has explained but I still love listening to Christian music and Tuesday as I was coming home from Six Flags this song called Revelation Song was playing.

Like I said it has been in my head lately, I have just been singing this constantly. I think there is a reason that this song has been in my mind and I been trying to see why God has laid this on my heart. I hope some of you enjoy this song.
